Creativity in the Digital Age
Welcome
When the pace of the digital technology revolution began to accelerate during the last two decades of the 20th century I realized that my focus needed to change. So did my teaching. In order for my students to recognize, navigate, and adapt to this rapidly evolving reality, it was critical that I help them develop a clear sense of where we are and how we got here. That would put them in the best position to make informed choices going forward.
As someone whose primary focus area is in the arts, I continue to develop curriculum centered on the creative application of digital technology. Though the tools, environments, and modes of expression continue to evolve as we enter the age of AI, what is crucial is defining the relationship between those and the traits, abilities, and skills of observation, curiosity, and inquiry fundamental to the human creativity engine.
This project is an extension of that work.
